Yes, correct.

And let's not forget the guys who think they are together with a good girl.

No, my girl is not from a bar. I met her in a disco.

And my one worked in a restaurant.

And my one has a proper job.

Too many guys think only bar girls tell the lies. And too many guys think because a girl has a "proper" job or has a little bit of money that means she is always honest. Yeah, maybe. But maybe not. Don't assume too much.

You're told what you want to hear.

Fortunately, almost all my girlfriends in Germany came like sex tourists, and almost all had another man at home.

Why should I expect anything else from a young healthy Issan girl?

Back in the UK I cycled a few times a year, too wet and too cold.

Here I do it nearly every day.

One of the odd things in life .............

What many people save up all year for a two week exotic holiday and spend thousands of dollars on doing it,

I do every week and it costs me almost nothing.

Odd indeed I spent my childhood and youth swimming in local streams in the

uk kind of out grew that one

Not me, I was still swimming in the sea in Cornwall all year round.

It was a bit cold though, and I appreciate the warmer water these days.

I guess you just got old.

Had to swim twice a week at school, wasn't good at swimming, it became a chore, preferred cross country running got out and saw more

Unless you have unlimited resources, or have spent ALOT of time with her, and really gotten to know her, and feel there is a good chance of a long term future with her, there is little point in continuing the support, under the circumstances.

So to sum up your life ......

No sex and having to cycle to work 20Km/day in the cold wet UK ........ sucks to be you dude.

Please.....two months of the year it can occasionally be bit chilly in the UK, I cycle in shorts all year!!

So this conversation concludes the way it started......apart from your cheap and affordable sex.......

You ever entertained the thought that some guys give em money because they actually aint prostitutes?

and as such, a lot of em dont have any other income stream and just need to eat?

It's really simple.

Does she stay in touch after you stop sending money?

What would happen if the 120k baht a month guy from a few pages back stopped paying? Would his woman be happy to roll the sleeves and start supporting a family they built together or would she kick him out? That's the truth only he knows.

I think you also know the truth hence the thread.

Sounds like she has a little earner at the local market, op reports she never asked for money, he decided to help out

So if he stops sending money is too much of stretch for girl to think he has lost interest and thus she moves on.....

Test her out tell her this month can not send money no have, maybe can next month but only 50%. you will see how much she miss you.

I love these bright ideas, give the impression you are poor and cannot afford to assist, knowing the woman has only little money on which to survive. When the woman looks elsewhere out of necessity, trot out the 'all Thai women are the same' line

Multiple job holders are quite common in the West, too.

You do realise what sending a bit of 'chump change' means

Those that can......may choose to do

Those less fortunate can only stand and stare

What are your views on keeping a Mia noi?

Can imagine nobody less fortunate than those transferring thousands of dollars to some morally challenged rural girls from Isaan. Just to keep their illusions alive.

I havent been married myself, but in Aus some mates have payed a lot higher price.

for women that stayed with them 2 years, and eventually took them for an absolute fortune in AUS$.

Im sure all would happily trade places!

That's the cost of 2-3 years of mediocre sex with a fatty with a bad attitude, as compared to the small baht spent on these Thai "prostitutes" as you call them.

So, i figure i aint so green.

I can stay with Thais 2-3 years and sail into the sunset,

and not be having anyone attacking me for my house,

a good bite of my superannuation

and a good few years of alimony,

with my wages actually garnishered by the governnent and given to the ex.

If your plan, as with many others it would appear, is 2 - 3 years, then sail into the sunset who can blame the ladies for extracting as much as they can due to the uncertain future - you are making the no commitment rules here not they

Generosity and assisting others can be rewarding for the soul of those who can afford to give, with ease, and choose to be benevolent - why do some think it has to have an adverse effect on the donor?

If you are generous and you assit a Thai, dont expect any reward

don't even expect a ''thank you'' from the Thais, they prefer

''thank you'' buddha with merits donations and prayers

according to their views and beliefs it's buddha who send

the generous and helper foreigner to them, the foreigner

isn't the important thing in the equation.
