Banana7 Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Attached are 2 recent, August 29 and 30, 2020, car/SUV/truck auction price lists from SCB, for your review and comment. A 2017 Fortuner with 107,000 KM going for 810,000. One2car lowest priced similar vehicle is 969,000 baht. Nice markup! car-290863.pdf car-300863.pdf 1 1
Hi Tea Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 The figures shown on your attachment are not the sold prices, it's an auction and that figure will be the guide price or maybe the reserve price. Actual sold prices will probably be higher. There's a huge disadvantage for the buyer when buying from an auction compared with from a dealer where the vehicle can actually be checked out properly, hence lower prices, generally, at auctions. Nothing to do with dealers specifically making, what you seem to be implying, a big, unjustified profit. 1
Lancashirelad Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 I can't read Thai so I can't tell if it lists sold prices or reserves. At auction not all cars reach the reserve, then the seller is usually contacted and the best bid submitted.
