Best Place for Foreign Exchange?

Featured Replies

I need to change Thai Baht to Hong Kong dollars. Is there any legal currency exchange that stands out as having better rates? Thanks in advance.

Try TT in Pattaya. Ask at one and they may be able to get the HKD organized for you.

Listed at 4.07 on their board yesterday.

Most TT exchanges are closed at the moment.............exception being the one in big c extra..........it closes at 6pm

not sure they will have hk dollars though..................

edit.............maybe ignore the above, i normally hit town after 6pm and it looks like they all are on reduced hours..................so maybe open during the day?

You may have to arrange/order via a bank, I imagine most of the booths etc would be in short supply of most foreign currency at the moment, if they are even open.

I wanted AUD a year ago and went all over Pattaya looking. Was hard to find. There was a booth on the lowest floor of Central at the beach entrance. The one on 2nd road on the left as you walk out of Central too

One at the top of Soi Pothole (Soi Chaiyapoon) on Buakhao is open.

From my last visit first week of August there were more booths open.

But as written, for complicated stuff try central office first.

I was there yesterday. For purchase of foreign currency I was told one needs to ask ahead and they will bring it to their main shop which I think is on Second rd. Although I think in these times they likely won't be having much available as of course no tourists

If TT cannot do it, try Kasikorn Bank on the 4th floor of Central Festival mall on Beach Rd. They have a well stocked foreign exchange booth that should be able help. They open at 11am.

Yes, see post #7.

It's a short walk from corner South Pattaya rd.
