taking a motorcycle from Thailand to Laos

Current border closures aside, can one take a motorcycle from Thailand to Laos?  I have heard conflicting information.  If anyone knows, please message me,  Thanks

Yes .. it’s not an issue if your bike is 249cc and above and it’s easier if it’s in your name.

 

There are plenty of instructions on other forums as mentioned. GT, travel forums ..
 

The easiest crossing for me is Chong Mek, in Ubon province, some of the bridges don’t allow inward passage but allow outward, some Laos borders can be a bit needlessly pedantic.
