We can't know what evidence the police has to charge him and if the accusation is true or not, but it's a damn shame we can't bet on it.

Western woman suggesting that we are going to have sex! But they don't understand it's maybe leading sex!

Same that you get nice "smell" of great food , but you can't "eat" it!

Often in Thailand people are reluctant to file a report of rape they dont have rape case trained specialist to deal with it, this is what Thai women have told me in the past so a lot of rapes go unreported,

Then again there have been a few false rape claims over the years in Phuket, some years ago an Aussie girl got some jail time for making a false claim

What kind of visa did he have? And her? Were they sexual tourists?

Thailand has Sex Tourist Visas now?

Must be multiple entry for sure!

I cannot understand why women are persuaded to go unaccompanied to a males room that they hardly know....foolhardy at least...having said that if a woman resents any unwanted advances their wishes should be respected....

Me not either, but it's a British thing i guess...

And NO, tinder is not a "sex" app, it is an app to make friends, for lonely people, who are very restricted in bars or whatever in their area, you can connect with like-minded people nearby, and arrange meetings to know each other better!

Q: As a man, how many male friends have you made via Tinder?

A: None, as it's only purpose is for finding women for sex.

Sure, its easy to say your raped.

and why on tinder, just for find friends?

She want long time friend, she just a one timer for him and miss don't like it, yes i'm raped..

How many times we see this...

Police said that on the 11th of September they received a complaint from "A", 29. She said that she had met the suspect on dating site Tinder on the 7th and understanding that he was a fellow tourist agreed to meet him at Surin beach on the 8th.

While rape is rape and no one deserves that, going to the hotel room with a stranger is not a very wise thing to do.

I dont think it happens often. You seem to think it does. So please back your story up by just one or two links.

Could she have been under the influence of some sort of a substance to make choose wrongly and drop her guards i wonder?...

She probably dropped her guard in the first instance by advertising herself on Tinder to start with......

I know a case from Sweden. A guy met a girl in a hotel bar. They had a few drinks, then the girl said can we continue our chat in your room ? He agreed. To cut the story short, they had sex and some hours later the girl called the police from her room claiming she was raped. In the court the bartender witnessed that he heard the girl asking the guy if they could go to his room. Didn't help. He got convicted. So that really means before you have sex with a new  lady, make her sign a form. I hereby confirm, bla bla bla. I really miss the old times. We didn't need this BS.

Not saying that he had the right to rape her to get what he wanted if she said no or resisted. However, I also find it very peculiar that a woman just follow an unknown man they met for the first time to his hotel room. To me it sounds more that she might been expecting him to pay, and that did not happen and the result is then a call for rape. it´s a lot of that on Tinder today.

Yes she is a scammer stuck in Thailand no money and there was no relatives lol

I’ve never been a fan of the french.

as they say in France. Sex is sweeter than a chocolate croissant.

? I am  French, and if I translate in French, it must be " le sexe est plus doux qu'un croissant au chocolat " ; I can tell you that I have never heard French people say that

anyway, if his name is "French arabic ", he is not French ( he has only  passport ) , and this sort of thing can happen with any nationality

I read about intentional criminal behavior occurring when people are using craigslist more (in N.A. anyways) than sites like these but in this world and these times I'd want to vet any stranger pretty good prior to letting them in to where I live..
