Soldiers arrested 19 Thai casino employees who fled Myanmar for Tak's Mae Sot district early on Tuesday morning.

Despite a ban on crossing into or out of Myanmar, 10 males and nine females with Thai nationality crossed the Moei river.

On being arrested, they told the soldiers they were employees at casinos in Myanmar and just wanted to return home. They were all promptly quarantined.

On Monday, Myanmar reported 897 new Covid-19 patients, taking the total of those infected to 11,631.

Packing them into the back of a pickup doesn't seem to reflect Government policies on social distancing...

And after quarantine... nothing?

Wonder what talents they possess that makes it worthwhile for a Burmese casino to import Thai migrant workers.

They have native fluency in Thai, and all of the customers are Thai? Just a guess.
