A BRIT man has been found dead in a Thai forest next to a handbag strap after fearing someone was trying to kill him, police have said.

His body was found today in Nakhon Ratchasima, in the north of the country today and his girlfriend says he ran away from her when they stopped at a petrol station.

He was also said to be suffering from Parkinson's disease.

Police investigating the death said the man had previously complained that he believed ''someone was trying to kill him”.

Police Captain Wuttisan Pakaphonmongkol from Udonsap district police station said: ''The British man and his girlfriend were not married but they had a joint bank account together.

Maybe He did the money in the bank x2 with a joint account. People have killed security gourds for 20 baht in Thailand. 1,6 million would be very tempting.

I can not see how a guy with Parkinsons would run away. However, time will tell but a do think her story is same solid like a Swiss cheese.

seems he had every right to be scared. they fail to mention his age. will wait on the parkinsons part as i have doubts like the other posts.

The bigger question here is where dies the handbag strap fit in.  Was the missing bag full of money, drugs or ?.  Was he killed over the contents of said missing bag?

   That's important to mention. RIP.

The strap may have been used as a garrote.

Can run if have Parkinsons

Perhaps in the very early stages of Parkinson's one can.

But certainly not as the disease progresses.

parkinsons make person depression. Symptom.

He kill himself.

But,, if a farang die and have thai wife,

the tvf narrative will be....

the wife kill him.

Yinn, you might benefit from a little research on Parkinson's.  Depression at best is a complication that occurs because of the symptoms as they grow over time.  Tremors, walking problems and many other primary symptoms, of which depression is not.

I presume that you are aiming this at a particular TVF poster as it has absolutely no bearing on this thread.

Is the "Brit Man" in the title confusing you with a certain poster?

Real experience my life.

Although common in other chronic diseases, research suggests that depression and anxiety are even more common in PD. It is estimated that at least 50 percent of those diagnosed with PD will experience some form of depression during their illness, and up to 40 percent will experience an anxiety disorder.

Nothing in the original Sun story says he hung himself, it says the handbag strap was from the GF's bag in the car, and they think her tried to climb a tree to hang himself but no signs of why he died. At this point it is only speculation that he tried to hang himself.  Maybe he was going to use it as a weapon against attackers as he ran away, again speculation on my part.  The story leaves many important things out of it.  However, Parkinson's is a very debilitating disease, and takes a persons dignity away from them.

I would think that most people with a terminal diagnosis will suffer from a form of depression. It is not specific to Parkinson's.

Read the sun link

Officers said they believe he may have climbed a tree and tried to hang himself.

Not at all, it destroys your motor functions.   Parkinson's disease is a brain disorder that leads to shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with walking, balance, and coordination. Parkinson's symptoms usually begin gradually and get worse over time. As the disease progresses, people may have difficulty walking and talking.

What a sad pair you are! Mohamed Ali appeared in public many times during his life, despite his illness. Billy Connolly is still active and entertaining despite having been diagnosed in 2013.

With the right medication, one can live a fairly normal life for quite a long time with Parkinson's and remain active. I've known one person doing just that.

My grandad had Parkinson’s and the medication he took caused him to have hallucinations.

Wonder if Brit Man was on any medication ?

RIP Brit fella

I think your guys are overestimating the problems of Parkinson.

My dad has Parkinson he bikes 12000km a year (now he uses an electric bike but a few years ago a normal one). But even with the electric bike he does not engage the motor that much. Not everyone with parkinson is disabled. He did lose some of his strength ???? so we now take shorter snorkeling trips then before instead of a 3 hours now usually just 1 or 1 1/2. But he still can walk better and more then my mom who has no disease.

So it certainly possible to run away. (probably use the term not actual running)

I thought the emoji was enough. Until it is conclusively proven he killed himself, I assume murder. I'm sorry if this upsets, angers or confuses some of our gentle readers, but I don't care.
