Add that to the hard right's war cry of "take back control of our borders" primarily aimed at immigrants crossing the channel from France. That went well didn't it? In August more immigrants crossed the Channel in one month than in the whole of 2019 when we were still in the EU. Can't disagree with you but when do they start governing. We've effectively been out of the EU since the beginning of the year and things have gone from bad to worse (re: illegal immigrants).

Don't know about you, but I regard the judiciary and the rule of law as two different things.

My respect for the judiciary in this case is nonexistent. For the judiciary generally, and their daily failure to adequately enforce the full weight of the law in our courts, my respect also continues to be pretty low. As for the Supreme Court, which is not supposed to be part of the Parliamentary process, but another separate and political construct of Tony Blair, well I hold that with nothing but contempt.
