What Wat is this in Lampang?

Featured Replies

Anyone in Lampang or nearby..   I'm looking for the name and/or location of a temple in or near Lampang City. I was there in 2004 and my friend's  sister took me to many temples over the course of two weeks.  The one I'm  looking for had an elevated, small,  room reached by external stairs, where a monk took me. When you enter the room and shut the door the outside world is projected through a hole in the door, like a camera, and projected onto the wall like a motion picture in low resolution, and upside down. Id like to visit there again while I'm  up north.

Thanks!

The device is called a "Camera Obscura",

I'll find out the name for you from my mate. He's knows the names of almost every temple in Thailand.

Every time I point and ask him the name of a particular temple he'll reply instantly with the answer.

'Wat Chamakhorlit' seems to be a popular name for most temples it seems.

If you are talking about Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, then that information is incorrect.

My in-laws live 5 mins away from it, anyone is allowed in, been there numerous times with the Mrs and family.
