I am amazed by health care at some of the private clinics in Thailand. Although Bumrungrad is great, I have had even better care at other locations.

I find that private clinics can avoid the hospital feel that you get at Bumrungrad. There are no crowds. There are no sick people. And surprisingly, their English is even better than Bumrungrad.

I had LASIK at TRSC after being recommended to them through my embassy. The staff was extremely courteous and treated me like I was their only patient. I was not surprised to find out that they have performed more LASIK surgeries than Bumrungrad, Rutnin, and 17 other LASIK centers in Bangkok all put together.

The doctors seemed extremely competent to me and the technology is supposed to be the best in Asia. I was told they have exclusive rights to it in Thailand.

I would certainly recommend them to my friends and family. I have been to LASIK centers overseas in Hong Kong and Singapore and the service is not nearly half as good and the price is double.

Does anyone know of a good surgeon for rhinoplasty? I have been blessed with a large nose and am curious about having that adjusted as well. It seems that Thailand is a great location for surgery if you know which doctor to go to.

I don't know if I would go for the nose job tho.

used to have real good luck picking up,what some call "loose women",and had one tell me one time that the size of a mans nose was directly proportionate to the size of his root, and she bet I had a dandy, she was very happy til I dropped my laundry, and then she found out. :D:o

Hi SukumvitSteve, if you are into plastic surgery I hear that Phuket Hospital leads the world in sex-change operations :o

I have heard that, and they do not use calking grade silicone either, but you pay more for it. and they got a special drill for the money hole. :o

Do you mean Bangkok Phuket Hospital?

Sex change huh?

I think I would be even uglier as a woman.

Scary to think about. Makes me shudder to imagine running into a female version of myself.

Thanks for the suggestion. Simon.
