Staggering early vote turnout boosts hopes for Biden in Texas

Lets hope Biden wins, nobody is worse then Trump. Would not be good for the UK though if Biden wins as Biden is far more pro EU then Trump. Would mean even harder times for the UK too.

I believe that if the polls had not shown Hillary with a 90% chance of winning many people who would have voted for her diddn't be cause they figured she was a shoe in.

That's a possibility.

It's also possible that if she hadn't insulted a significant % of the electorate by preaching to the converted with her "basket of deplorables" speech then more people would have voted for her.

I was not really talking about that election. I was was only agreeing with the comment that some people don't vote because the media and pollsters make it seem that "their guy" is for sure going to win and it won't make a difference.

So again as always with anyone's posts you want to put words into my mouth that I did not write or spew, much to your chagrin, so instead you had to insinuate what I wrote was what you wanted it to mean.  Good on you man to be a mind reader and telepathic one at that.  My comment is for all voters and about how the MSM skews the voting no matter who is running.  At the end of the day even the money raised is touted as a sure win over the one without the most money, another bunch of BS.  Elections should be fair and free of any political gerrymandering.

In my view everyone running for an office should only be given two print adds to be placed in the printed media, two television spots, two radio announcements, and then the same for the internet.  None of the adds can be used to mudsling or discuss the other opponents.  Instead the Adds should only be about who you are, what you think you can accomplish in the position and how you will work at doing the job, in a positive way.  Not the current BS politcal grandstanding, bullying, hatefull divisiveness and such.  But then that is just my view.  I hate the current state of affairs and politics as it does not and has not fixed much of any of the problems.  So again tell me how my words say anything about the ballot process in the mailing of ballots in any supporting counties, be they Democratic, Republican, Green, Independent, Constitutional party, Working families Party, Liberterian, or Reform party amongst all of them.

So are you suggesting that limiting a candidates freedom of speech is OK?   Wouldn't that give an incumbent an advantage, since the press tends to follow someone who is in office and less so if someone is simply running for an office.

Yeah I'd agree with that. But it works both ways, I think that motivation to vote is lower if you're convinced that your guy is going to win OR lose irrespective of your vote.

In this particular case, the media is basically saying to the Democrat voters in Texas "look, your guy actually has a chance after all, he's not definitely going to lose so make sure you vote".

Not a fan of the First Amendment then?!

If on the other hand you want to see ‘Citizens United’ repealed, I’m with you.

You have no way of knowing that. Stop making things up.

It would be for all candidates, incumbent as well as those running, and the press needs to stay out of promoting one candidate over another and stop the rhetoric they bring about a candidates record.  The press should list equally, the attributes of all candidates and not mudsling as well.  There is no fair and balanced reporting anymore, it is all about sensationalism and selling papers, air time and making money.  My view on this is that it ensures a level playing ground where someone of lesser money is not disenfranchised and has the same amount of airtime as another.  Boohoo, to those that think it would violate the freedom of speech.  In essence for you it is your freedom of speech to call another candidate a witch, or a skunk, or a cheat, or many other names, as well as trying to make up stories which disenfranchise others.  All voters should be able to vote based without being bullied by the media and have there vote counted not just because of fear or favor of one candidate over another.  A level playing field is needed for a reset of all political parties.

When your $ and share exchange plummets when Biden wins - and he will - you may regret installing a left based politician.

I can't say I'm a big fan of trump, but the other lot are so far the other way that it will be just as bad.

There's no middle ground in the USA - maybe that's the issue

Not according to the experts on Wall Street.  Maybe you need to change your source for news.  A unified government would be able to get things done.  Especially with out Mitch blocking everything in the senate.

California is a very liberal state.  And a great one.  I'm sure they don't want racist, QAnon conservatives there.  Kinda makes sense.

Media is not saying anything. Media are reporting on high early voting turnout, your interpretation is just that.

What?  That's some bizarre reasoning!  Sadly, typical from Trump supporters.  Deflect from reality and blame others.

I am not a Trump supporter, not even from US. Just stating the facts -  it's much easier to see from outside.

And there I was thinking that your allegations weren't ' based on sound data gathering techniques. Boy howdy do I feel foolish.

I feel so bad about saying this but you're still making things up. I never said you have no way of knowing things. Here's one way: subscribe to the New York Times.

"Just stating the facts"....???  Please.  The facts are out there for those willing to embrace them.  But you won't get any "facts" from Trump himself.  He's spending these last days before the election lying his as* off.  Not surprising, but rather astonishing level of dishonesty.

Apparently you've forgotten, or chosen to ignore, the reality that pretty much every one in America comes from immigrant origins... except for the American Indians...

I think there are MANY Trump voters who don't tell anyone they are voting for him. This is because some of their selfish family and friends think only their opinion counts and anyone who disagrees with them is inferior and is ridiculed. This has caused polarization in the once great empire. Shame on you!

Come election day, Trumps votes will overcome and there will another 4 years of making America great again.

Spokeb like a true objective observer.
