A horse swept away from The Verona Hotel at Tub Lan in Prachinburi province was rescued in Nakhon Ratchasima province.

On Monday, strong water currents swept away livestock, such as sheep, goats and horses raised at the hotel, into the river and claimed the life of a highway official.

Rescuers struggled to pull the horse out as the current was too strong. However, they eventually succeeded and the horse was saved.

The flood situation at The Verona Hotel improved on Tuesday. The hotel will begin a big cleaning-up operation before it is reopened.
