An arrested Myanmar national.

A Myanmar truck driver’s ruse to avoid being tested for Covid-19 at the Thai border was exposed when his wife and son reported high fever.

Myanmar health officials took the driver and his family to Myawaddy General Hospital, where they all tested positive for coronavirus.

Myanmar officials had told their counterparts in Thailand on October 29 that only one of the two drivers had tested positive.

On the Thai side of the border, both drivers from Myanmar had been found infected with Covid-19.

It was later found that the driver had sent someone else to be tested in his place. Later the man’s wife said he had passed the infection on to her and her son, while the seven workers who had come into contact with him are being detained for test results.

Meanwhile, one Myanmar national was arrested as he tried to cross into Thailand via the Moei River early on Tuesday.

Many workers in Myanmar are hoping to cross over to Thailand for employment, while the number of Covid-19 patients in the border town of Myawaddy has risen to 88, one of whom has succumbed to the virus.

I have a better trick:

Next time just buy a faked Thai ID on Khaosan road. As locals obviously are immune towards Covid, not test will be necessary anymore.

He already knew that he was infected , but still did nothing to prevent the spreading , even to his own family ...

That's not due to a lack of education , it's just evil .

It's getting serious by now ...

Ridiculous.

Anyone still not understand why the 'honour" system of home quarantining is not acceptable.
