A meeting was held to discuss organization for the upcoming Hua Hin International Jazz Festival 2020 that will be held on the beach outside the Centara Grand Beach Resort and Villas on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th December.

Hua Hin mayor Noppaporn Wutthikun and local dignitaries from both Hua Hin and Cha Am were joined by famous Thai jazz musician Sekphon Unsamran also known as "Koh Mr Saxman".

December's event will feature more than 100 Thai and foreign musicians on two stages performing in 30 separate concerts.

Among the headliners joining the "Thailand Jazz All Star(s)" will be American Steve Cannon on trumpet, Irish blues musician Keith Nolan, Season Five and many others.

One for your diary.

I assume the foreign musicians will be Thai-based as I can’t imagine any flying in and quarantining.

Guess they want to spread corona more. Too less corona in Thailand.

There is enough good musicians i Thailand to get a concert together, great Idea

I was in Hua Hin for the last jazz festival. Very good, though I only watched a few acts over the two nights I was there.

Totally agree about Phuket. I don't think we've had an event that appeals to Westerners since the Blues Festival finished; most gigs seem to be of the Thai (c)rap variety, attended by young Thais.
