Hello, 

Does anyone ever tried volt stabilizer or OBD2 device on your vehicle? I want to know the effect on the vehicle's performance after installation.
According to the sellers, it will increase your acceleration, battery life and many more positive effects. or actually does it do any negatives?  Can anyone confirmed with your own experience. 
 

Some advises on performance upgrades will be appreciated.

something like this to stabilize voltage supply of a vehicle. 

From a quick Google would rate it right up there with good quality snake oil.  At little or no cost it might be a little bit useful for a few but not worth buying as it is not likely to make an improvement that will be noticed.

Over 90% of electrical issues with late model vehicles - bike, light-medium-heavy trucks, cars etc are caused by faulty grounds.

The voltage in the vehicle systems is controlled by the regulator in the alternator.

For stereo use to minimize electrical noise just wire direct to a buss bar connected to the battery by a fuse or fusible link. One POS one NEG

Leave the OEM electrical wiring alone - very important in todays computer controlled everything. Splices into any wire causes spikes and drops - ECU's dont like that.

On rally car's we would have a AC compressor clutch and vacuum switch to disconnect the alternator during hard acceleration.  Probably the same snake oil salesman but everyone seemed to be doing it.

 

Was going to insal a thumb switch to cut out the AC when passing, on an old Kijang in Indonesia but never did.

Alternators are controlled by regulator, even very old alts could be generally quite stable within amp capacity(I do check this everyday with my ecu log, pretty much the only voltage dip is starting). And newer cars have additional control like load sensing, active load control, etc. Like suggested above, organized and clean grounding would make much more sense than 'volt stablizer'. 

 

 

About as useful as the stone brick in a box that you plugin to save energy at home.
