It has been revealed that a senior customs official has become the second person from Prachuap Khiri Khan province - that includes Hua Hin - to test positive for Covid-19.

The 56 woman is the elder sister of another positive female case aged 54 who apparently caught the virus from their 97 year old bedridden mother who was the first case identified in Samut Sakhon.

The sisters were tested and are being treated in Bangkok.

The latest case officially received her new job in a ceremony at City Hall with the governor and deputies on December 14th and subsequently went to the Singkhorn crossing and ate at several restaurants in the Bang Saphan and Ao Noi area with 27 members of their department.

All attendees at those restaurants are under 14 day quarantine though no Covid has yet been found.

On the 18th of December Daily News said the 56 year old woman was officiating at the opening of a monument in Bang Saphan in which she was pictured next to the governor of the province.

There was no mask wearing or social distancing.

Some 62 people associated with that event and deemed to be low risk are being checked but not quarantined.

Dr Suriya Khuharat of the Prachuap department of public health said that there has been no transmission of the virus in the province.

About 500 migrant workers there have been checked with no evidence of Covid yet found.

Of course not. Covid is for plebs, not government officials.

Arrogant and ignorant springs to mind.

What's an upstanding official supposed to do when masks make ar$e-kissing so awkward? ????

Yet another unsurprising instance of those in positions of responsibility completely ignoring the precautions to stop the spread of Covid infection.

In HUA HIN, when we see how easily we multiply the evenings with at least 200 guests, there are really questions to ask.
There are presidents or representatives of associations, representatives of medical services, town hall, police.
And each eats side by side, hugs each other, kisses.
This is total relaxation.
HONEST SCANDALOUS.

How does a 97 year old bedridden woman become the first identified case, man, my brain is boggled ??
