Next time I hear rolling thunder I'll be imagining it's coming from Charlie Watts.  RIP.

Machine gun rat-a-tat-tats on Get Off Of My Cloud from '65.

Here is another one out of that era.

Great fictional movie based on the real boats that rocked in the North Sea back in the 60's.

Short interview snippets put to a live performance of Monkey Man at Madison Square Garden in 2003.

Ha Ha, some great quotes from Charlie- ' My wife always says i don't do anything.'

He was always a rock, never thought he wouldn't be there anymore.

Still 80 is a good innings. Amazing that Keith has outlasted him.

Charlie's good tonight, ain't  he?

Rare 8mm footage of Rory and his band as they toured Japan in 1974, filmed by Rory's brother Donal.  The live footage and audio come from the 27th January show in Nagoya, live footage courtesy of Megumi Manzaki.

Otis Taylor with an awesome interpretation of the '62 penned Billy Roberts classic Hey Joe.  Set to some retro photos, a few of which are edible.

Johnny and Edgar Winter performing Tobacco Road at the Olympic Auditorium in L.A. on March 7, '70.

It's always interesting to read the comments for some personal perspective to the music.

Edgars voice is incredible... as good as Johnnys guitar.  I can only imagine what it was like to be in their house growing up as kids.  I've been playing since 1964 and John was my idol.  Most people don't know that Edgar was voted best sax player for many years by Playboy mag... and he's an incredible keyboardist.  God rest you Johnny.

I was 15 when I was fortunate enough to catch this show. Mountain had just finished their set. Johnny & Edgar were now up while we waited for Frank Zappa to come on. When he did, we were treated to much of the Hot Rats album. I couldn't have asked more for my $4 admission fee.

15 years old, LOL.  Probably sold some bud to get the 4 bucks, LOL.

Rory should have come to Thailand. I could have found him a nice Thai country lady to take care of his every need. He could have relaxed on her farm and played weekly gigs in Udon. Khon Kaen, Khorat etc. The Thais would have loved him with his down to earth personality.

Progressive Kraut rockers  Amon Düül II with Sleepwalker's Timeless Bridge off of their '72 Wolf City LP.

They were quite a band,. With your roots in Der Fatherland Tippers, you must feel a particular affinity for German bands seeking an identity post WW2.

Wonderful music
