webfact Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 Monsoon gathers force in South By The Nation Photos by Charoon Thongnual Fishing boats and vessels off Songkhla's Koh Nu and Koh Maew islands rock and roll in rough seas whipped up by the northeast monsoon on Monday. The monsoon brought waves of 2-3 metres high in the Gulf of Thailand, as well as heavy rain to the southern provinces of Phatthalung, Songkhla, Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat. The Meteorological Department has warned people who live in flood-prone areas to beware of flash floods from January 4-8.
