Yes, but since the little general took over it's not very free at all.

If your speech is censored it's never been free

There are plenty possible excuses, some you probably wouldn't grasp....If they can't afford to live here then they cannot live anywhere if it were any of your business or concern...

A very large swath of the rural farming communities are still in the analog-age. They often miss out on Government hand-outs being distributed via smartphone apps.

The same people pushing for a "cashless-society" are equally out of touch with the human geography of the country.

basically the only people without a smartphone in all of Thailand are old grannies in the village, and small children.  its 2021 mate.  And those people are fine since they aren't traveling anywhere.

if you're gonna post just to post, at least be realistic.  thailand has about 70 million people and over 50million of those use smartphones.  take out kids and old people and thats pretty much everyone.

it's only a temporary measure. I really  don't see what the fuss is about?

How sure are you that it is temporary? Probably little chance of avoiding it though. Funny how all the conspiracy theories said we would all face mandatory vaccines of an unknown nature and would all soon be permanently traced. I am getting the impression they were right. Funny in school we all thought the idea of an Orwellian world was absurd, however it seems its already here via covid.

Oh dear I don't have eenough memory on my phone for any Apps.

Just found out you don't actually need to download either of the apps to scan in and out of shopping centres, restaurants etc.

If you have LINE on your phone, on the HOME page on the right hand side of the search field is a symbol that looks similar top this  .'--,'  .  All you need to do is tap that symbol and you can scan the QR codes and the ONLY personal information the Thai Govt gets is your name & phone number.

This is how my wife scans in and out each time.  Of course you do need an internet connection to use it.

Too many people these days make assumptions based on money. They have been trained like rats to respond to cheese, do almost anything for cheese, think 24/7 about cheese. ..

I actually am sensitive to the radiation from cell phones & cell towers. That has been the case since I first tried them in the 80's. The radiation coming off of smart phones now is 1000 times what it was then. Anyway, turns out my instincts were correct.

That is why I built my retirement home in an 8000 acre ranch community. If I could replicate that in a place with actual feminine women & no divorce rape, I'd do that. Of course the new world order has other ideas for our lives..

Will you also make the same no excuse argument for the micro chip implant?

Or ovine?????

Are the posters who think all this is just temporary the same pups who believed the 'Two weeks to flatten the curve' jingle?

People, they told us we're in The New Normal almost a year ago. All governments, all levels of government, everywhere, singing the same tune.

What part of Not Ever Going Back To The Old Normal do you not understand?

Will it be illegal to leave home without your phone?

Yes, you will get deported to the nearest bar immediately.  555555:cheesy:

Maybe I should get a second battery, let it run out & then put in phone "Ohm gee officer, I guess it used all the power telling you where I am"
