Another slap in the face for police and govt! Covid case spent TWO full days in Pattaya casino

Thai media continued to have a field day ridiculing police and government claims that there are no casinos in Thailand.

Daily News said the latest case was a further slap in the face for the authorities.

Details of the 193rd case in Bangkok to have the virus were revealed in a timeline published on the Facebook Page of a police captain "Earth Pongsakorn Kwanmuang" (this is the same surname as the governor of Bangkok, notes Thaivisa).

This man is a delivery driver whose movements from 13th December to January 1st were featured. He tested positive for the virus on New Year's Day.

Of most interest was that on December 24th he went to a casino in North Pattaya with two friends in a private car. Rather than go to a hotel they slept in the car and the next day continued gambling.

Every day more stuff appears, and discredits this incompetent government.

Time for them to go, and also time to start punishing incompetent and corrupt police officers.

Inactive posts ARE NOT the answer.

'punishing'  Just where can they find yet another 'inactive post'? It seems to me the country's full of them already, from reading news reports.

I cannot understand why the police and government are being ridiculed, sad really as they are doing a fine job.:cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

A fine job in helping to destroy the country through greed and rampant corruption.

Very responsible of them to do this and avoid possibly infecting hotel staff and guests.

Oy Vay....Lies and more damned lies being told to the public by Prawit and his Police cronies of "No Gambling here, No Prostitution", nothing to see here folks move along, but keep the brown envelopes coming and we will cover it up. Then they want to set up a committee to oversee finding the illegal gambling dens which will go nowhere either.....

We cant really blame Prayut for “casinos” in Pattaya. I went a few times to the one on Central Pattaya Road back in 2010-11, when Prayut was still a soldier.

People love to gamble, he wouldn’t be able to stop it even if he wanted to. I have also played Len Pai in Rayong, HiLO on Cosy Beach Pattaya and at a big set up just outside a temple in Fang, ChiangMai (no gambling allowed in the temple grounds).

Been to a few border casinos also, all full of Thais playing Baccarat.

Remember one thing Col, the more the bet, the more you win.

I've been living here for thirty-eight years, now, and every year there are stories about the police being caught enabling casinos. The only reason for laws against gambling and prostitution are to provide income streams for police departments. This is as true in America as it is in Thailand. The voters rarely wake up to the truth and continue to vote for the laws to "save" people from "sinning," or "wasting the family's money when they don't have enough to eat."

Two days is a long time to spend in a nonexistent casino.

They do not advertise when they are back on duty

Pattaya has a Casino?  Next you will tell me that it also has prostitution!????????????

Right....

The police did a good job of closing all those "Bridge playing" gambling dens. They worked so hard to find Bridge players that they haven't had the energy to find other types of gambling dens.

It's all run by the BiB mafia, that's why all this crackdown <deleted> is hot air.
