It has been said that 'Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.'  Some people don't understand that what seems amusing as a statement, usually spoken to oneself does not communicate any humour at all when written down. But thank you for explaining to me that it was Sarcasm and an attempt at humour. I am ROFL

People who are amused making statements to themselves aren't sarcastic - they're usually schizophrenic.

I'm sure the PM is rubbing his hands in glee by now seeing the fruits of his labor trying to eradicate gambling,

the Thais will be let go after paying a 'big fine' and the rest, i don't envy them right now...

The Chinese are probably the product of STV visa. They are quoted as overstayers. The Cambodian should be charged for putting the country at risk of C19. The rest probably are Chinese Thai.

There is no victory here for the police, they have known about the illegal casino's, pocketed back handers and turned a blind eye for some time.

This is purely a face saving exorcise for General Prayut.

The headline really needed to say Foreigners.  Talking about offensive, especially when Thai were also arrested.

Yes most believe foreigners to be filthy farang that spread covid.

But these were clean, showered Chinese gamblers mainly, reported as overstayers, my bet is that you will not hear of them again.

Note most wearing black T shirts, might be the Black Shirt Gambling Club.

Just imagine if the good citizens of Thailand took the governments advice and reported all illegal and strange dealings going on and then grassed up all the illegal casinos in the country...... ?  Imagine the amount of individuals self isolating and taking flights out of the country......... Might even be a great boost for Thai Airways.....   Be like rats leaving a sinking ship......

This just shows that the plonkers supposedly running this place have absolutely no idea.

One of them reckons there are no gambling dens here, main honcho says hey are going to stamp it out, just more BS, at least all the BIG plod bosses got there 15 minutes in the spotlight.

I still think that what a previous poster said about the brown envelopes had it spot on.

Why is it a problem?

Because they will not stop until no money left.

A bit like the old days in UK when many workers went to the pub after work on payday and the family were on bread and jam for the rest of the week.

Gambling really is a disease for Chinese it seems. They just can't get enough of it.

I had a hot Chinese girlfriend back in England but if we went into London for a night on the town she just could not pass an amusement arcade and spend 30 - 40 minutes in there on the penny arcade. To drag her away from a pile of pennies perched on the edge was a herculean task. She had pumped so many pennies into it that she seriously thought it owed her.  ' I am just about to win ' was her constant excuse.

I misread your comment initially, I thought you had written, she had pumped so many penises … my mistake, apologies  ¯\_()_/¯

gambling goes hand in hand with other mental diseases like bi-polar

That is an illogical post, possibly reflecting your mental capacity. Please post a reliable study which you draw your inference from.
