Two men injured as pickup slams into power pole on Phuket highway

PHUKET: Two men were taken to Thalang Hospital after a pickup truck they were in slammed into a power pole on Phuket’s main highway last night (Jan 16).

 

At about 9.50pm, Mai Khao rescue worker was called to the accident scene on Thepkrasattri Rd in Moo 3, Mai Khao.

 

At the scene, rescue workers found a white Phuket-registered Isuzu D-Max pickup truck heavily damaged after a collision with a power pole.

Need a ban on power poles. cause to many accidents.

I've never driven a car in my 57 years - never wanted to. But I would imagine lesson one in the car driving handbook is keep the flaming car on the road.

but but it was not there yesterday...

I am now convinced there is a affinity between pickup trucks and power poles.

Yes, the pickup drivers have the same level of driving skill and intelligence as the power poles.

Standard highback delivery truck, with additional leaf springs so it can be overloaded. Complete with standard breaks, idiot drivers, and high speeds.
