Maybe it would have been better if his death had just been ignored.

Or if people had stayed broadly on topic while respecting the deceased's family and loved ones by not spouting hateful rhetoric.

  • Good riddance. I hope he packed summer cloths  'cause where he is going would be very hot.

  • Well would'nt that bring a tear to a glass eye! Some may miss him, many won't!

  • I use to really like Rush. Then he lost the plot. Conservative media outlets like his are destroying America.

If only Limbaugh had subscribed to your prescription..

You reap what you sow. He deserves the hateful rhetoric. It's what he dished out for decades.

"US President Donald Trump on Wednesday launched a fresh mocking attack on John McCain, the Republican senator who died in 2018".

I don't know about that but It would have been great if he had been ignored while alive.

I appreciate that he expressed his views, but at the same time he spewed hateful, racist, misogynistic views.

So while I feel for the family that they lost someone they loved, I personally do not mourn the passing of that man

Not sure about the family. He had no kids and was on his 4th wife. Good chance she was a gold digger considering his very few  redeeming factors.  Of course there are legions of Nazis, bigots and KKK types that are in deep morning.

Gov. Ron DeSantis says he'll order flags flown at half-staff to honor Rush Limbaugh ????

https://edition.cnn.com/2021/02/21/us/florida-desantis-limbaugh-flags/index.html

Not every Floridian agrees with the nutty Gov....

[Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried announced Monday that she would disregard an order by Gov. Ron DeSantis to lower flags in the state to half-staff to pay tribute to Limbaugh, the conservative firebrand radio host who died last week after a battle with lung cancer.]

[“Lowering to half-staff the flag of the United States of America is a sacred honor that pays respect to fallen heroes and patriots. It is not a partisan political tool,” Fried, a Democrat, said in a statement. “Therefore, I will notify all state offices under my direction to disregard the Governor’s forthcoming order to lower flags for Mr. Limbaugh — because we will not celebrate hate speech, bigotry, and division.”]

Alot of extreme hatred towards a person who speaks against liberalism, having said that I don't think any entertainment personality deserves the half staff flag.

Lots of prominent conservatives who have spoken out against liberalism have died with little or no vitriol directed against them. Do ya think maybe there's something different about what Limbaugh said that provoked a different response? Do ya think that statements like the one comparing NFL games to a war between the Bloods and the Crips might have something to do with that?

What was the name of the last conservative talk show host that passed which was made a topic on Thai Visa. The more famous, the bigger the audience of conservatism, the more threatened the liberals feel.

Doesn't matter if it was RL or any other conservative talk show host the same hate filled posts would still be here. I don't care but please be honest enough to admit that. We all know why this thread was created.

My main point was about the half staff flag, no Tv or radio personality deserves that.

You use the words "hate filled".

Describes Rush Limbaugh to a tee, but, he also had a platform where he could spread that hate.

So when he was being racist, homophobic, mysoginistic, a climate change denier, alleging Michael J Fox wasn't ill and even that second hand smoke isn't dangerous, how was he exactly 'speaking against liberalism?'

The 'extreme hatred' you are fond of quoting is nothing to do with his political views and everything to do with his stoking of needless fires through all the things I've mentioned above and an extreme amount of conspiracy theories.

The man added nothing to civil discourse and nothing positive to the betterment of America.

That's why he is hated. And yes, I'll happily admit to hating him but not for the reasons you are desperately trying to deflect to.

Liberals feel threatened?  More like disgusted and appalled.

But you are right. The more famous conservative talk show hosts spew lies and hatred.  Just like Rush. Sad anyone would listen to them. Shows what's wrong with the US.

You don't need to have Parkinsons to be offended by what he said about Michael J Fox; you don't have to be gay to be offended by his "AIDS Update" section that mocked the deaths of gay people and you don't have to belong to a street gang to be offended by what was a VERY obvious racist quote.

A spelling police post, a personal comment post, and a trolling post have been removed, along with multiple replies to each.

I think many of the 'famous' ones are actually infamous. Whatever brings the rating.

Well, Rush wouldn't last here on Thaivisa or any other forum. His hate would get him kicked off. Why do you linger here considering that you have a lot more hate in you that you want to express, well that's if Rush is like you and holds your values? Gosh, think of all that spit and drool dripping all over their desks as right wingers are forced to self censor their posts on on social media these days. How do they survive.
