Crammed in metal cages, these starving and dehydrated dogs were being driven to a slaughterhouse to be butchered for meat. But the 61 hounds – a mix of strays and stolen pets – were saved.

 

Just minutes before these heartbreaking pictures were taken, the driver was intercepted and arrested on Sunday by Cambodian authorities.

But I think even a hungry dog would not eat you ... they want healthy meat , not rotten one .

I gotta say, I do not have a problem eating dog meat.

many animals are housed inhumanely prior to slaughter yet I don't see folks with tears in their eyes at KFC..

I don't see many freely roaming cows, pigs and chicken in the Sois. So the dogs might have had a much better live before than the other poor creatures that land on your plate. 

As much as I love dogs, soi dogs are a nuisance and public safety issue. Not only do they deficate everywhere, some can be aggressive, they bark all night, and have potential to spread diseases like rabies.

 

The government should set their beliefs to the side and do something about the problem, i.e. euthanize, like any other civilized country.

It's very wrong to transport any animal this way send them to jail .

I see  nothing wrong in dog meat trade if it's done correct.

Same as any Animal trade for human consumption,it has to be done with correct procedures/Laws/Regulations.

at last mate someone with common sense..soi vermin  problem on here to many do gooders that have never been bitten by these interbred creatures
