I live upcountry and a bit of a ways from a major city. So I am assuming that I will have to get my 3 days before test in Bangkok. What I need to know is where I can get it and is it a walk-in service? How long does it take to get results? Thanks for your help.

Its possible you are reading the rules wrong, the 3 days (72 hours) is the maximum. As far as I know its up to 72 hours before so for example, if you can find a lab that can turn around a test on the same day as you fly, that will be fine.

There is a drive through Covid-19 test service at Ramkamhaeng hospital. Other hospitals probably have something similar.

Be sure you get a PCR test.   The antibody test is not valid for travel in most airlines/countries.

Plenty of places in Bangkok, think all I've seen are results within 24 hours. Dr Donna (Med Consult https://www.medconsultasia.com) probably one of the cheapest at 2600 Bht, same day results possible I believe if done early morning.

make sure you check out exactly what is required some country's ask for difference type of test and results sorry it is not standard

Book online, 3000 Baht, excellent service, you get the RT PCR result and also a Health Certificate for flying.

Yes I looked at their online booking service with available booking slots which always seem to be fully booked within the next 3 days , so I guess you have to book a week in advance ?

Tis a bit tight trying to coordinate flight and virus test bookings , plus for UK travel an additional 2 virus tests in the UK to be paid up front and then within 48 hours of travel  complete a Passenger Locator form to be printed out or downloaded to your smartphone  ( if you have one ). Not much room for contingencies . I have omitted the booking of UK quarantine hotels as I have a place to stay .

So all in all quite a work up .
