Click on the link and look at the enlarged photo. Every major road and city can be seen.

Incredible clarity, considering that it's taken from the space station.

Some great YouTube vids too!

Never knew the Galapagos islands look like a seahorse.

And to think the ISS is only 250 miles up,
a very low orbit but high enough to see large swathes of the earth's surface,

I probably uploaded this image before.  The resolution from geo-stationary weather satellites, way out at more than 22,000 miles, is quite amazing.

This photo is from the relatively-new South Korean bird called GK-2A, received at my home in north Laos.  I'm not sure if the forum software will reduce the image resolution, but the original image is 2700 x 2700 pixels, and quite stunning!

Why do you think that?  Can you not see me waving from my condo balcony?

Your spaced out dude !????.

I like spotting the Space Station at night. From the Nasa website, you can find out exactly what time to watch for it and where. Plan a night out with a friend and show off your magical powers by predicting a very slow falling star right before it passes overhead.

I was in a gentleman's club in Patts, so safe from the prying eyes!

Are you in this photo?

Maybe, can't see through the smoke haze.

When was the photo taken.? No smoke haze then, but we can't see Chiang Mai, maybe that's why.!

Yes, I picked out my house. It's the one with the white roof in a sea of red (roofs). :)
