SPDIF connection from TV box to 2 x RCA Home theatre

Featured Replies

Recently got a new little TV box. Has HDMI and one single SPDIF connection which I never even heard of before. Fibre optic apparently. My home theatre thing about 5 years old and only has RCA connections. Is it possible to buy a lead like this or do I need to go into a digital / analogue converter first? I've seen some leads but looks like one SPDIF to one RCA? I assume I need one SPDIF to 2 x RCA

Any help appreciated

You need an SPDIF to RCA box (yes, a D to A converter). Check Lazada, <200 Baht.

Does your TV have a headphone or RCA output? If so just use your HDMI to feed audio to the TV then use whatever output is on the TV to the home theatre.

You are a genius Crossy. Did have a 3mm jack outlet on TV says audio out. Works a treat. Thanks mate
