Phuwadech Chutinanthakul of the electrical authorities said that cable burying work in Pattaya was on schedule, reported Manager.

He said that everything would be sorted by the end of the year on nine main roads some of which have already been completed.

Five years was set aside for 11.6 billion baht of electric work including the cable burying in the tourism cities of Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima and Pattaya.

Three phases of the work in Pattaya that began with North Pattaya were given a 3.1 billion slice of the pie.

North Pattaya is now complete and looking good.

In total the areas to be improved were North Pattaya, Central Pattaya, a section of Sukhumvit Road, Sai's 1,2 and 3, Soi Bua Khao and South Pattaya 1 and 2.

From September all of Pattaya Klang to the beach will be attended to plus Sai 3 from Pattaya Klang to Bali Hai port and Sukhumvit Road from the central to the south turnoffs.

Phuwadech said after a meeting on progress at City Hall that everything would be done before the end of 2021 "nae norn" (for sure).

The work includes improvements to non-buried infrastructure as well as the burying of the unsightly cables.

"For sure" sounds like they have got the Irish on the job. Somchai Murphy & Sons.

Bua Khao is one o f the only streets I think with traffic start digging there and you kill the businesses that are working.

For sure me, the wife and the kid are going to see how this plans out in the rains before going into town when its raining or has a minimal chance of rain.

North Pattaya Road was finally done, and, yes, looking good--then they came back and are tearing up perfectly good concrete road surface for no reason whatsoever, causing long traffic jams.    So, not even done there.

You know what that means hey, Ain't gonna happen. For sure as little apples it will go wrong.

They missed a big opportunity on Soi Siam Country club rd, it has been resurfaced now almost all the way from Sukhumvit rd to SP3 & beyond, just nearly finishing the last section now, why did they not bury all the cables at the same time as resurfacing ??

There was a couple of big holes in Soi Bong Koch last weekend, they are bloody everywhere.

Money.

Contractors have families to feed so need the second cable burying envelope.

Pattaya Tai has been semi-impassable for months; Klang has FIVE sets of traffic lights all set on red making it tedious to attempt (has no one worked out how to stagger them?); Nua has one set of red lights which manages to make Klang seem like a motorway. The net result is I never go into town except in an emergency.

Depends where you are coming from and going to but I get from Sukhumvit to Lengkee facing only one set of traffic lights, and leave Big CX and am on the  Railway Line Bypass without facing any.... a few left on red (allowed ones), and I am on a bike, yes.

Now holes in the road are another matter.
