Is computer administration now a job for kids who like comics?

Featured Replies

I work with and administer IT since a long time. Some user interfaces are better and some are not so good.

But recently I discovered a new "style". Big comic style pictures.

Are they (this time it's Microsoft) crazy? Or is this the type of interface that people like who play with instagram and fb all day?

Or am I just getting too old for this?

I want a usable interface with good information, not some comic!

This is the type of interface with I am used to and which make sense - at least for me.

and corporations want to sell their products to the majority of people, not only to smart-asses.

Why bother with UIs if you know how to use CLIs?

Having that said, if I have no choice but to use a UI, I'd rather be presented with one of the modern UIs than something from 20 years ago.
