The two met on the matchmaking site 'Thai Cupid' towards the end of 2016, but the jilted lover's disturbing pattern of behaviour didn't begin until two years later, the District Court of Western Australia heard. 

 

Siriphanuruk and the Padbury man were soon involved in a long-distance relationship and often met up between Perth and Singapore.

 

But she had been under the impression her online fling would soon become more official, hoping he would finalise his divorce and make a fresh start with her.

 

As time went on the court heard Siriphanuruk became increasingly irate when he did not follow through on leaving his wife.

Unfortunately when you stray you pay one way or another.  Feelings aside he was in it for sex she was in it for what she thought was love and security.  However, they both are a little nuts if you ask me.  He obviously shared all of his personal info with her when he got cold feet and cut it off.  

She looks like a nutter. 

Don't have a fling. Or if you do just go down the soapy or a beer bar instead of joining a website and giving your real name and details to a complete stranger whilst also cheating on your wife and family maybe.

  If your "often meeting up" and offering to "facilitate a partner visa" it's a little more than a "fling" I would also wager London to a brick that he was telling her he was gearing up to leave his wife. Not to mention the Phillo worker he also had plus who knows how many others. The only victims here are the wife and children.

  Not condoning the fruit loops behaviour but old mate certainly no innocent victim.

Yes, she is clearly a complete fruit cake, but the husband is also partly to blame for joining the dating site in the first place.

There is no mention of how much encouragement he gave her before she realized he was not for real and subsequently lost the plot.

In the actual article, it mention he'd previously had a filipino lover so clearly he is no angel.

Partly to blame? She was single he was married he frequently met up with her and offered to facilitate a partner visa . And if you can believe the Mirror as a reputable source they were together a number of years before he decided to break it off and had been with hookers from other countries.  So I'm gonna call more than partly on this one.

I love how the Australian man is painted as the innocent victim, yeah right.

He has obviously played up on his wife, had an affair for years, made promises to the Thai girl, the linked article mentions a past relationship with a Philippine hooker.

I think we may be reading a press release from the guys lawyer.

Well, he should've been warned. After all, there was a news article on TV only yesterday which said that exports of "Thai fruits" to FTA markets (Australia being one of them) were up 107%.

i thought the woman looked quite attractive (if a bit old), and I find  crazy irresistible.

I would definitely have given her a go when she was a bit younger.

Same here. I was on dating sites foreign and domestic. When things go south with one of your online relations, many of whom are likely to be mentally unstable, they've got a habit of tracking down all your online contacts and going nuts on them, as their form of revenge.

Gary Glitter (ala Paul Francis Gadd). He got 16 years several years back, I think 2015. He's 75 now I think. Just got his Covid shot. I think he is potentially out at 80. But I'm assuming his traveling and Vietnam days are over.
