NONTHABURI, April 16 (TNA) – Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul wanted clusters of COVID-19 cases linked to entertainment places to be contained within a month.

Inspecting COVID-19 vaccination at the Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute, Mr Anutin said that the vaccination should cover all medical personnel next week to ensure confidence in their work.

He also said that the closure of entertainment places meant an end to COVID-19 transmission there and COVID-19 clusters from entertainment venues should be under control within a month.

Does he really believe that immunity is instant once the vaccine has been received?

You have to assume a great deal is lost in translation.........no one is this stupid.

Let's look at it this way. The next two wks should see a spike from songkran travel, so a spike up from 1500 a day. That leaves around 2 wks. More like 3 months from now.

Of course the clusters will have ended in a month, Mr Covid would have done with those people and moved in to others, or the government will "ensure" they've ended.

he is right - virus spread in entertainment venues will not be spreading because they are closed - shame about the rest of the country and population were mass travel has let it spread far and wide - and you Mr Anutin let it happen - remember that

Really, so just because you close a venue the cluster associated with it disappears and goes away.  How about exponential spread by folks who were there that have passed it on outside of the venue and then traveled elsewhere and spread it some more.  I guess by the second or third transmission it can not be said to have come from the entertainment venue.  Is this guy for real.

Is this man for real... I want what he's been smoking,

And the annoying bit is, these guys are running the Country...

Apparently some did.

I trust the virus will read the instructions and obey.

Like viruses always do....

Remember A Nut in Government that dirty Thais not farangs caused this spike.

The next spike will be after the incubation period post Songkran travel that you allowed to take place.

Also....very good publicity.....the taint of covid will soon fade......but the name is now out there for all the movers and shakers.

Pre appointment test for Public Health Minister, OK attach this bandaid to your finger , no no the sticky part goes on the skin. ????

You can't always get what you want...

You can't always get what you want...

But if you try sometime...

Hell with it, hopeless anyway...

I don't get it. If you close down a place, "COVID-19 transmission there" is under control immediately, since people can't go there. (It's closed remember) Or is this a new strain that can infect people remotely for an other month? I'm confused.

Oh of course the entertainment clusters will have ended, in the sense that they will have morphed into broad community spread via family, friends and colleagues. At some point, those infection chains cannot be traced back to an entertainment cluster anymore.

That's not exactly what the headline says either. So do the people who write the headline not bother reading the article?

Wow... quite a lot of these now... I foresee some personnel changes.

Friday Udon Thai a Red Zone.... so I reckon that’s a clust fruck

Most of them should stick to running barracks and parade grounds, they are certainly not fit to run a country.

Unless something has been lost in the translation of the article, there is a frightening lack of understanding of what happens next.
