If you’re going to marry the love of your life, you’ll want to make sure your wedding day is as special as possible. Thailand happens to be one of the best wedding locations in the world - with people from all over the globe planning destination weddings in our very own backyard. The Land of Smiles is spoiled for choice when it comes to venues, with picture-perfect places to suit any theme. But how are you supposed to make a decision when there are so many options? Our friends from Pacific Prime Thailand are here to cover eight of the best places to get married in Bangkok and beyond.

Thailand’s most romantic venues for tying the knot

Whether you like the sound of a wedding by the beach, in a luxurious ballroom, or surrounded by a tropical garden, Thailand has it all. Here are some of the most romantic venues in Thailand for your wedding.

1. Four Seasons Chiang Mai

While many of the wedding venues on this list involve Thailand’s beautiful beaches, we’ll start off with a favorite amongst locals and destination wedding planners alike: the Four Seasons Chiang Mai. Located in Chiang Mai’s majestic Mae Rim Valley, this secluded luxury resort allows you to say “I do” amidst beautiful rice paddies and stunning mountain views. As a classic wedding location, the Four Seasons Resort in Mae Rim is complete with large rooms, impeccable service, and all the other amenities you need to make the experience enjoyable for all.

2. Rayavadee Krabi

Situated near Krabi Town, the Rayavadee Krabi is an exquisite location for a small yet charming wedding. As one of Krabi’s most beautiful wedding venues, the resort’s private beach means that you can have it all to yourself. But the reasons why Rayavadee stands out don’t end there. With a natural limestone cave, grotto, and blue green water, the entire setting feels like what beachside wedding dreams are made of. The wedding packages also come with special treats for the bride and groom. Did someone say couples spa?

3. Soneva Kiri

If luxury with an eco-friendly twist sounds like a heavenly location, then Soneva Kiri could be the venue you’re after. Located on an unspoiled island, the remarkable resort is surrounded by a lush tropical rainforest and some of the country’s best beaches. Part of the Ko Kut islands, the Soneva Kiri Resort feels like a paradise on earth. You have the option of getting hitched on the beach, in the forest, or even underwater. Whatever you like, the resort can make it happen. There’s also a treepod where you can have your first breakfast as a married couple. That’s right, a treepod.

4. JW Marriott Khao Lak

White sandy beaches and a calm ambiance is what you’ll get if you have your wedding at the JW Marriott Khao Lak. There are plenty of beach wedding venues in Thailand, but this one is worth mentioning for its postcard settings and photo opportunities alone. Aside from its endless beach, JW Marriott Khao Lak’s flawless service gives you the confidence that your wedding will be perfect. Plus, the grand and luxurious facilities provide more than enough space for your guestlist.

5. White Serenity Chapel

Have you always pictured yourself getting married in a chapel, but also wanted to be by the beach? Then you might have been dreaming about the White Serenity Chapel. Known as the most elegant wedding chapel in Phuket, this venue offers a traditional wedding experience with luxury to match. The beautiful white-washed chapel features floor-to-ceiling

glass windows that provide a magnificent view of the Andaman Sea. You can choose to add your own decorative touches to the chapel or keep it original for a romantic and elegant feel.

6. Sri Panwa Phuket

As one of the most drool-worthy luxury hotels that social media influencers and celebrities frequently post on Instagram, Sri Panwa Phuket has all of its guests feeling like the rich and famous. Incredible views are guaranteed thanks to its location 60 meters above sea level, along with insane villas that offer 300-degree views of the oceans around you. The 360-degree rooftop, Baba Nest, provides a beautiful setting to exchange your vows - if the view doesn’t take your breath away.

7. Le Normandie at Mandarin Oriental

Mandarin Oriental’s Le Normandie is one of Thailand’s oldest restaurants, and has offered the finest French cuisine since its establishment in 1958. The beautiful restaurant also serves as one of the most romantic wedding venues in Bangkok. Located on the top floor of the Chao Phraya Wing Hotel, the restaurant boasts spectacular views of the river. If the way to your heart is your stomach, then is there a more romantic place to have a Bangkok wedding than a two-star Michelin restaurant?

8. SO Sofitel Bangkok

Do you plan on having a hotel wedding in Bangkok? If so, SO Sofitel Bangkok is probably already on your radar. It also happens to be one of the best wedding venues in Bangkok if you’ve got a large guestlist. Suitable for large wedding ceremonies, this hotel has plenty of hotel rooms (237 to be exact) to host all your out-of-town guests. It also has a selection of romantic venues for you to choose from, including a solarium, rooftop, glass-enclosed space, and an al fresco ledge.
