Bangkok’s Police General Hospital has asked the Royal Thai Police to send about 90 officers urgently, to help in the transport of patients, after more than 10 patient transporters were found to be contaminated with COVID-19 and many others quarantined.

The hospital will try to get the volunteers to help first. If more help is needed, officers will be selected from each unit.

They will need to be in general good health and not be older than 35 years. They would be vaccinated before starting the job on Monday.

How long does it take for the vaccine to kick in?

Well, the   reports published so far show; 5 weeks  because;

After 1 st dose - Antibodies should start to appear. Estimated protection less than 5%

2nd dose  to be administered 3 weeks after 1st dose. 2 weeks after this antibodies should give 50-75%  effectiveness against regular Wuhan aka "wild" version.

No published data for UK or cambodian variants.
