The Rayong provincial governor has ordered that the holiday island of Koh Samet closes all hotels and resorts for 14 days from today, Tuesday 27th April.

Channa Iamsaeng held a meeting with his deputy and health officials in which it was announced that 426 people had tested positive in Rayong after 14,010 tests, reported Daily News.

Five of those were in Koh Samet.

Locals will still be able to come and go if they register at the port.

Tourists who have booked should contact resorts for refunds or delays to their trips. The governor asked for the cooperation of hoteliers in seeing that this is done fairly.

Disagree.

The two schools that I have been associated with were both told that I needed  the physical check up at a local hospital. The results had to be on official hospital headed paper signed by a senior doctor. The labour office insisted on this as a condition of obtaining a work permit. I believe this has been the norm for the past few years.

Is Koh Tao and Koh Phangan also closed off?

Koh Tao returning to its old roots as a prison island.

It's wonderful we went last week. It was worth the trip

roll that out over the entire population and thailand would hit 2 million infections overnight

looks like Thailand will not be opening July 1st,

this is what happens when you deceive your own population with a false sense of security over the real number of cases

the virus and the disease don't lie,
