I have been told that to register for a Thai pink ID card, I need to provide a copy of my birth certificate.

Is it possible to get one as a expat in Thailand?

But will it be sent overseas, it doesn't say so.

Yes it does, when you start the order process under service options it says "Post - 1st Class (Priority) and 2nd Class (Standard) for UK address, Airmail outside UK".

If the application is urgent, you can opt to pay for a priority applications which are sent by DHL for overseas customers - Priority applications sent to Addresses outside the UK Only (+£12 per batch of up to 5 Certificates)

I was told that Thailand Post is not accepting mail from overseas. Can anyone confirm this?

I believe so.  But I think international courier services like DHL are still operational.

That was my point so the OP can give the correct instructions

IMPORTANT - Check if your local ampur require the birthcert to be certified / legalised and translated or just translated. Also they will require the version which shows your parent's names.

You probably won't have this much hassle, but it's worth reading the saga, the links are in the first post

I ordered a duplicate birth certificate 6 years ago after the original had gone astray (thankfully only temporarily in the event) with my State Pension claim. I can confirm that the GRO sent it to me in Thailand.

EDIT: I see @theoldgit has beaten me to it!
