Okay ,what unique feature is that? Besides testing, how do you know the extent of infection?

What’s the unique feature? Thailand hospitalized all positive cases of Covid-19.

Rather than engage in massive random testing, Thailand uses contact tracing for all positive cases.

Chonburi tests plenty every day for the purposes of understanding the spread of the virus.

Testing so much that the cases are going up, perfect way to get ahead of things.  Tell me more please.  How many tests were done for todays 65 cases and what is the positivity rate since you are stuck on that.  Like a piece of string the cases just keep appearing, yet in your view the fight outside of Bangkok is being won.

Most new cases are in Bang Lamung/Pattaya (13), Chonburi City (26), and Sriracha (12) #COVID19 #Thailand

Unique? Contact tracing is standard worldwide.

Looks like Thailand is continuing on with the 2000 case plateau as far as community spread cases are concerned.  Jails still reporting and testing as well.  Deaths of 25 for the day, show we are still far from being out of the woods especially with those on ventilators and in critical care.

Contract tracing when someone goes to the hospital feeling sick. Wouldn't it have been better to do testing and get those individual who are positive out of the population before they became symptomatic?

Doing that would require every person in Thailand to be tested once a week. Apart from the UK, are you aware of any country testing all of its population regularly?

EU agrees to open doors to vaccinated foreigners

European Union countries agreed on Wednesday to ease COVID-19 travel restrictions on non-EU visitors ahead of the summer tourist season, a move that could open the bloc’s door to all Britons and to vaccinated Americans.

Ambassadors from the 27 EU countries approved a European Commission proposal from May 3 to loosen the criteria to determine “safe” countries and to let in fully vaccinated tourists from elsewhere, EU sources said.

They are expected to set a new list this week or early next week. Based on data from the European Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, Britain and a number of other countries would meet the new criteria.

1,965 new infections, outside of the prison system. Not exactly the Titanic.

Yes good news, as long as you've not been vaccinated with Sinovac of Sputnik.

From the link above: "For inoculated people to gain access, they would need to have received an EU-approved vaccine, with those with a World Health Organization emergency listing being considered."

From AP news

"Under the Commission’s proposal, entry would be granted to all those fully vaccinated with EU-authorized shots. Coronavirus vaccines authorized by the European Medicines Agency, the bloc’s drug regulator, include Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson. The EMA has not approved any vaccines from Russia or China as of yet but is looking at data for Russia’s Sputnik V jab."

Then maybe you should have left out the contact tracing.

I am sorry that I do not write posts in your approved style.

I should note that Thailand uses contact tracing far more effectively than most countries.

You claimed Thailand was unique for some of its measures which you also claimed contact tracing as being one of them. That is factually incorrect. Your style of writing is up to you. Carry on as you are  you have my permission

Don't need to be tested once a week. While ideal to test everyone, some people will refusing testing (as some will refuse to get the vaccine). However, if you work in a area with lots of contact, such as a factor or market (see current Thailand outbreaks) testing would have been advisable BEFORE an outbreak could occur.  Moreover, making testing free for anyone, and providing locations that are accessible to the general public would, again, help the gov't realize the extent of the infection. Once that is known, appropriate measures could be put in place.  Currently, the Thai government finds a hot spot, tests and mandatory hospitalizes (thereby make some not want to test for fear of hospitalization), and then hopes for the best.  This is a reactionary procedure, not proactive which I espouse.

Thailand is banking on the vaccine to cure it's problem, but this will take at least 1/2 a year or more. In the meantime, I forecast continued outbreaks and government scrambling for containment. Oh yeah, not a good time to open the tourist spots, even domestically. Unfortunately, the trend in mortality will continue.

By the way, according to data from https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ , Thailand has tested about 11% of it's population. Get to 50%, at least, although 70% or more would be better.

Also, according to the link, these countries have tested more people than the current population: USA, France, UK (as you mentioned), Italy, Spain, Czechia, Belgium,  and more.
