Prachup Post reported on Facebook that two, two bedroom houses next to each other in a housing estate in Thap Tai sub-district, Moo 9, had been burgled.

The first bungalow owner Mr Punyang said the thieves had broken a window of the master bedroom and rifled everything inside while he was away for a week visiting relatives.

The thieves stole a small safe that was kept in a wardrobe but it did not contain anything of much value - just house documents and the "tabian baan".

Next door the owner was away working in Bangkok and there was only Prasert the gardener in charge.

He said the thieves had broken a big living room window then rifled possessions in every room.

They had cut the cable of a 40" TV but had not been able to actually remove it.

What precisely had been stolen would have to wait until the owner got back.

Pol Capt Prasong Jaturat of the Hua Hin police is investigating.

The media said locals should beware burglars.

My house got broken into about a year ago in Hua Hin. Went and filed a report. But no police bothered to come look at my house or follow up. And no I didn't pass any brown envelope.
