My wife and I will be heading back to the U.S. on June 6th. We are planning on going to Bangkok on June 2nd to give us time to get a Covid test for our flight and spend a couple days in the city. My question is are places closed down for inside dinning ? My wife and I love going to Bangkok and dinning out and trying new places I'm worried that most will be shut down or just offering take out.

It looks like currently the rule for restaurants is: not more than 25% occupation.

So likely you can sit with your wife on a table which was designed for 4 people and the next table is empty.

I visited a few places in the last days and it was always pretty empty and not difficult to get a place. But obviously better check with the places which you like to visit. Some are closed completely.

You can eat out.  A relatively low percentage of places are closed.

Others have spaced all the tables out with only one chair so that they don't seem to allow people to eat together.  Not sure if they'd let people move a chair and sit together.

But places with booths seem to have people eating together. And also at restaurants that haven't cleared out so many tables.

My general impression is that when they allowed dine in again as of Monday, the restaurants really embraced it. They really want that extra business.

I did my c19 test at Dr Donna's for 2600 THB last month... things do change.... Also, Hooters entire menu is 50% off from 3 to 4 pm.  Fish and chips for 150..very good deal.

I, wouldn't doubt it for a minute. How any small business can survive thru this pandemic and the shut downs is amazing. It's really sad to see how most places couldn't manage to stay open and had to shut down for good. Thanks for the heads-up my wife and I are really looking forward to going to Bangkok and enjoy the last few days we have in LOS.

RAZZ

In Patts, they open right at 3, with the same promo.  Nana might open a bit earlier, but not for lunch.  BTW, the one in Patts has a better ambiance.  Ribs were excellent, too. Patts observes no drinks from 2-5..
