Since a few days Lazda let me not login with just a Mail and Password.

I have to wait for a code sent by mail "to verify my identity".

Is this now a normal procedure for everyone or is it just for me?

I asked Lazada by Chat but no response arrived yet.

This happened to me quite often last year. The promised code never arrived.

I eventually got the message "your IP is part of a block suspected of spamming" or something. I used to look for stuff without logging in and use my phone to order, no problem there.

I had this too in the past.

Captchas, sending code never arrives.

Not tried for a while.

There is another about growing annoyance with Lazada site.

One try and trouble starts.

Waiting for a minute. No mail.

Stupidos at work.

Too many customers obviously.

Oops! My fault.

I had forgotten to disconnect my VPN (US IP).

Now with Thai IP (3BB) it worked without asking for code.

This effect is since yesterday when I use my Notebook on 3BB fiber or when I use my Handy on dtac internet. Two different internet providers used, no message about spammer alert or something about blocked provider.

I always got the mail and after entering the code I was logged in.

It's not an error but it seems to be a new security procedure what is very annoying to do this every time, waiting for the mail, typing numbers.

Hopefully this will be go away by itself.

I’m still wondering why my go to shopping app has to stall me with ads and show me clunky notifications about supposed tokens I have won. Just let me shop?

After you press verify through email, the second screen will have a field where you have to enter the code.

Inside that field is on the far right in very small script a "send". As long as you don't press that "send", no code will be sent.

Good hint.

But I tried this, get the 60s countdown and my mailbox is empty.

Even after multiple attempts.

Went through all folders incl. spam and nothing.

I forget about it.

Should I not be able to login with the Thai IP I will find another source.

I've had this annoying message quite a few times.

I usually just turn off my VPN or else allow them to send a code to my phone. No great problem.

surely they want you to use their app because if you use the website on your computer they could not steal your contact list phone numbers, read through your SMSs and emails and browse your files.

Now im using the app more and more as I too run in to trouble. Its really annoying.

For me the App is a No-Go for shopping.

Even if the Mobile Phone is one of the bigger the App is not comfortable to search and compare the goods you want have.

Btw - today I can login without an additional code by phone.

Every once in while I get challenged for a Lazada logon...and I'm just on my AIS Fibre home internet connection..   A couple weeks ago it happened several times over a week....then it simply went away.  And like Susco described above you got to be sure to hit the button that actually sends the code.

A few minutes ago I made a VPN U.S. IP connection and logged onto Lazada to see if I get challenged, but I didn't.

Now when it comes to using Lazada via the mobile app or computer browser, I use both as both have their advantages.   It's easier to search using a computer browser and getting Google translate to translate ad.   But using the mobile app it seems easier to collect "and use" coupons/discounts offered.   While you can collect coupons via the mobile app or computer browser, when you checkout using the computer browser any applicable coupon may not be automatically applied to your checkout, but it always works when using the mobile app.

So, now to ensure I get offered during checkout any applicable coupons/discounts I've collected I always do checkout via the mobile app even though I may have spent all day using my computer browser to search and add items to my checkout cart.

A Lazada customer support rep told me about a year ago that it's best to checkout with the mobile app simply because it will ensure any applicable coupons you have collected will automatically be applied during checked, but that will not occur if using a computer browser for checkout.   I asked the question by online chat as I noticed the mobile app offered me the coupon during checkout (which I aborted just before clicking the final buy button) but the  discount was not offered when checking out with the computer browser (which I aborted just before clicking the final buy button).   Summary: using the mobile app for final checkout will ensure any coupons/discounts will be properly applied; this will not happen if using a computer browser for final checkout.

I also expect Lazada prefers customers to use their mobile app as using the app probably creates more impulse buying (profit) and also Lazada can probably better track your buying interests.

Even when accessing Lazada via computer browser they infer/state you can save more by using their mobile app.   And I found that to be true in what discount vouchers are offered and ensuring any vouchers collected are applied during checkout.

Lazada has got to the point where it is almost unusable with the exception of the phone app which is awful.  Reviews in Thai and many other issues with the app.  If only Shopee sellers were dependable! The web app is so much better than Lazada.

Yeah, this does suck.

To get the email code I need to hammer the send box until it resets and displays resend, then the email arrives.

If I just press send once the email never arrives.

email shows up in Promotions tab in my Gmail.

I know the mobile app is easier, but don't want it on my primary phone.

Total PITA.

Be nice if they had a remember this PC or browser option.

And the unusual traffic slide bar is just plain dumb. Why make it harder for your customers to spend money?

that's how modern IT business works - managers hire the cheapest coders available to lower the costs, and do not use their own product to see that it is a PITA.

The cheapest coders are unexperienced and uneducated and write shítcode. The support staff does not tell managers that their product is a PITA in fear of being fired, or they do not care and simply follow the script when answering to customers - "try to use google chrome, disable adblock, reboot your computer, install an app".

And coders with support staff do not really need to care about whether their product work because they get a fixed salary not the % from total sales — so why bother?

P.S. actually that's how most businesses work :D I remember a Huawei manager flashing his new shiny iphone on the presentation of their new Huawei models.
