Popular Post webfact
facebook: ThaigovSpokesman Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha reassured all Thais that they will be inoculated with COVID-19 vaccines this year and asked the public not to quarrel among themselves about who should get vaccinated first. He stressed the need to adjust vaccination plans, to fit with sudden changes in situation, noting that vaccine management must be reviewed on a monthly basis, because supplies of vaccines arrive periodically and, when they arrive, they must be distributed immediately to as many places as possible, according to need, making it difficult to formulate long-term plans. For instance, the prime minister said that the vaccines, which are to be delivered in June, will all be distributed within a month and as widely as possible, adding that areas with high infection rates will receive the vaccines as priority. Popular Post stevefronter
Better get a move on then. That’s about 750,000 jabs a day starting 1st June. Absolutely no chance. UK is only averaging around 500,000 a day and that’s with a lot of practice and organisation. 41 3
Popular Post ikke1959
He promises so many things, but it seems that it are all lies... where does suddenly all vaccines come from? How will he handle the people who don't want the Sinovac... because there are a lot of Thais who don't trust this vaccine too....H and how can he stop in the first place this third wave?? Almost sure that there will be a 4th wave coming..So dream on Mr Lie

He did not say anything about fully vaccinated - so maybe he just mean 1st jab and not including the second. But I still think that Thailand cannot vaccinate 375.000 pr day (every day) until Christmas. But considering Thailand only has 2 vaccine choices at the moment, I think more than 40% will wait until Pfizer becomes available. So maybe the Government is aiming for 200.000 pr day - and maybe that could work I should work for TAT

In all honesty i have not noticed anyone quarreling among themselves , but have seen plenty wishing not so many nice things for the dear PM

Popular Post jesimps
"I'm alright Jack!" He's ok, he's had his jab. The guy should've followed the tradition of the captain of a sinking ship being the last to leave. If he'd chosen to be the last to be vaccinated, that might have reassured a lot of people that there was some substance to his assurances. 14
Popular Post SwampyThai
12 doses of vaccine per vial despite the official recommendation that there is only enough formula for 10 in each, now I wonder what country's have thought about doing that ???????????? 4
Popular Post Marvin Hagler
Many Thais I know don’t want the Sinovac jab because they fear it won’t be accepted by other countries and will restrict them from travelling overseas. And that is not to mention that they don’t trust it from a medical perspective either.
Popular Post thailand49
Nothing new here " All Thais " instead of everyone. More white lie to make it seem people are stepping over each other to get what? Current average is 30,000 (#2 dose, so fully vaccinated), so should reach 50 m in four plus years. I think that, when the PM says "vaccinated" he means one dose of something Covid-y. Imagine they'll be down to 1 ml being called a dose soon.

ding
The statement makes sense. The situation is mercurial and it's rational to not be cemented into a bureaucratic plan that turns out to be bad - or things change. Hope it's real and vaccines Thailand residents get are effective.

Popular Post newnative
Total crock--starting with the statement that the vaccines are going to where they are most needed. No, they are not. Way too many were sent to Phuket for tourism reasons, where they were not urgently needed, resulting in too few doses in other areas that needed them more. Even now, at this very late date, not all health care workers have been vaccinated. 7

dallen52
Err. Yes. Right. My lady was told yesterday that no vaccine, no more job. Must be antigen tested and vaccination. Otherwise no more work. That's one way to do it.
