autopsy will clear things up but i assume there will not be one done in Thailand if at all...

Usually required when a foreigner dies in Thailand if not in a hospital.

Ambassadors likely to be treated differently I would expect.

Irrespective of nationality, origin or gender - 45 is a little early from every aspect.

Was a diplomat of another country in the same hotel the night before - just asking?

Or is it the possibly five-folded dual pricing to access  the island?

Food poisoning?

Beshta’s son told island cops that his ambassador dad went to sleep around 11 p.m. Saturday, then woke up at 4:30 a.m. violently ill.

(food)poisoning.

The ambassador's body was taken to the Police General Hospital in Bangkok at 2.30am before being sent to the CIFS for an autopsy.

My friend in Phuket - stroke, 45 years old, paralyzed 50% of body, cannot speak. Just a businessman. He was lucky to get to the hospital very quickly.
Yes, it can happen to everyone. Take care of your health, guys.
