Any Charities Interested In An Old Working (Just) Washing Machine?

I will be replacing my old Samsung top-loader washing machine because it moves the water around very slowly when it is fully loaded. I'm fairly sure the problem is the clutch slipping and that a new clutch would cost about 2,000 baht + installation.

If I didn't need it every few days I would have a go myself - I think the clutch band has stretched a bit over the years and needs tightening. And it works OK initially, but not after it has got hot. But as a new machine is 10k baht or less, it's hardly worth the effort.

It works OK on half load and always spins OK, but it just doesn't rotate the water clockwise and anticlockwise as it should.

And yes, it is old. The warranty - which I just found - ran out in February 2005.????

So, any good cause out there I can give it too?

Just put outside by your bin, the refuge collectors will load on top of the truck and drop it at a local dismantler,  gaining a few baht or a beer, the ones you see with all those pee-white fridges in various states outside. It's not worth anything to anyone else, but a beer for the refuse guys and helping the local scrap man maybe make a few baht in metal isnt a bad idea

Thanks, but a forum member has a relative who'd be interested in it. I have left old computer monitors and such outside in the past - amazing how quickly they vanish!
