And the TAT meeting today, will the Phuket sandbox turn into a fiasco?

Knowing their undeveloped  mindset they will probably decide to get their buckets and spades out and build sandcastles.

A very low number from prisons and 4 days in a row with 30+ reported deaths. Pretty much groundhog day with community infections. Today or tomorrow will see Thailand at number 80 on the covid charts. A move up of 37 spots in around 6 or 7 wks.

The BP this morning have reported that Udon Thani hospital have announced the postponement of vaccination appointments which have already been booked by 246,000 elderly and those with underlying health conditions due to the province only receiving 3,600 does of AZ.  The same applies to other provinces.

Interesting times ahead.

So just a confirmation of what everyone expected for a long time already.

Which hospitals between now and Monday will post that they do not have enough vaccines to go around past a certain date, like a hospital posted last night.  How many of these vaccinations will be for 2nd jabs and how many will be for the first jab.  Will todays meeting chaired by the PM give the parameters and such a green light for the Phuket Sandbox even without the chance they will obtain a true 70% of the population having both vaccines, and then what will happen with the October 1st launch of "No quarantine" in the other provinces.

I await the daily report of those in the hospital, those in serious condition and those on ventilators.  This wave just seems to keep moving along and creating more clusters.  The Chicken processing plants are the new big ones......stay safe folks and hopefully we can get vaccinated with a vaccine of our choice soon as the US has just announced they will be sending millions of vaccines to countries including Thailand.

  • Approximately 7 million for Asia to the following countries and entities:  India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Maldives, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, Papua New Guinea, Taiwan, and the Pacific Islands.

Gonna spread pretty thin.

Wonder how the Government will spin this, maybe they will say "We have enough vaccine for use, but only at the Government Vaccine centers and not at Hospitals".  Your guess is as good as mine, but it looks like what i wrote in an earlier post is starting to occur.
