Popular Post webfact
Thailand’s airports are preparing for the full reopening of the country to foreign visitors in four months, a goal set by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Wednesday, according to Deputy Transport Minister Veerasak Wangsuppakitkoson, as he met with the Department of Airports (DoA) Thursday. DoA Director-General Apirat Chaiwongnoi said improvements have been made to airport terminals and runways, while extensive COVID-19 preventative measures have been prepared. Priority is now being given to larger airports, such as Krabi. Bookings have been made for 64 flights per week in and out of Krabi Airport between October 2021 and March 2022. The flights are both domestic and international. Among airlines operating the flights will be AirAsia, Spring Airlines and Sichuan Airlines. Popular Post Excel
They will open as by then this government will have reduced the official resident population down to less than a million and all those have already been vaccinated. Designation of the resident population will be those with a PhD, earned or bought, plus those who know somebody who has one.???? 5 1

Popular Post riverhigh
Based on the recent success of vaccine rollout, quarantine measures, visa creation, etc., this little government PR stunt should be treated as such. There is nothing in reality to support the re-opening of international airports, on a full scale basis, withiin 120 days. kiwikeith
By the look of the airline names in the article it seems like they are expecting a mass of Chinese/ asians to flood in. Mind you things are not good anywhere in the world, covid numbers are again rising with Russia going mad again and world numbers on the rise. Travel bubbles are under strain already between NZ and Aussie, and the feared Delta strain is spreading around the world. Nz had to stop people coming in from India as the quarantine facilities were under strain and as soon as they did this the numbers of imported people with covid dropped dramatically. Since there are migrants living all over the world now, controlling the Delta strain is almost impossible to contain, the only way probably would have been locking the borders, and land borders are next to impossible especially with smuggling and slave labor . Couple that with vaccine scams starting up in India (Mumbai, india today news) and the likelihood that scams will happen in Thailand the whole world is in a mess 2

Popular Post nobodysfriend
He does not have much of a choice . A good part of the thai population has problems to make a living as their income has broken away and the little government help is not enough . It is a risk to take , sure , but , in the long run , there is no other way . The question is : Who will come ? 5

There is nothing in reality to support the re-opening of international airports, on a full scale basis, withiin 120 days. Why not? The airports of most of the world have been open for business, albeit with lower passenger volumes, for well over a year and some never really closed. Over 100 million jabs are on order from six different suppliers for delivery to everyone, regardless of nationality, to meet with their vaccination targets. Yes, the vaccine rollout to-date hasn't been anything to write home about but despite my collective 20-odd years in Thailand, I have faith that reopening the country before the traditional high season is not totally unachievable. The PM has finally set national goalposts. As Boris Johnson knows, if you don't have goalposts, one can hardly be accused of moving them.
