Vaccinations, using China’s Sinopharm vaccine procured by the Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA), began in Thailand today (Friday), starting with 6,400 elderly people, those with disabilities and the underprivileged, who could not register elsewhere.

Many people queued since 7am for the jabs, at the National Telecom Public Company in Bangkok’s Laksi district. The vaccine was free of charge for these people.

The inoculations come five days after the arrival of the first million doses of the vaccine and two days after it was cleared in quality control checks by the Department of Medical Sciences.

Thailand vaccination rate now stands at 8.9% (1 dose) and 3.5%(fully vaccinated) - whereas the world stands at 37%. Only African countries are behind Thailand!

Yes, first the locals, then the underprivileged and the homeless. After them, dogs, horses and maybe sometime in the future, expats too.

Maybe it's like a batch of J&J's that got contaminated? They should tell us if they are having problems.

6500 jabs a day... trying so hard to stretch the 1 million shot to administer over 6 months or what???
