Which beaches are open in Pattaya? I read somewhere that only a few were open and most are banned.

Can anybody recommend nice, quiet beaches close to Pattaya?

I believe they are all open... perhaps excepting the naval ones closer to Bang Saray.

I read today that Rayong province has closed all its beaches. Maybe Chonburi province will follow suit; I hope not. Pattaya beach is very quiet but open. Jomtien always seems a bit busier.

Yes I saw that... but have not heard anything relating to Pattaya.... BUT, markets might be on the  list for the City. I just posted a topic but want some confirmation....

They are all a little nicer nowadays with less people and less pollution etc. They are all quiet nowadays for the same reasons.

It depends on your definition of open, its a moving target and can change daily. Some are open for running/walking etc but not swimming. The novelty of having the beach to yourself wears off after 10 minutes when you realise there is no seating, vendors, other people etc.

Rayong and a few others have closed their beaches at night. They are still open during the day.

I saw seating and vendors at Jomtien Beach yesterday.

They are on Pattaya Beach too.... although I think Pattaya is lacking shade and getting too hot lately with that big expanse of sand.
