PHUKET: Phuket officials have issued a special order to confirm that Phuket Sandbox tourists may leave the island on “sealed” boat tours to nearby islands while still observing their mandatory 14-day stay on the island.

The order was issued by Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew yesterday. The order was posted online at 10:28pm last night.

“Sandbox tourists who are still observing their mandatory 14-day stay in Phuket can travel around Phuket to other islands by leaving with a tour boat at these three piers: Ao Por, Rassada, and Chalong,” the order noted.

They are all vaccinated so they are safe, cant catch it and can spread it OH wait yes you can but they are saving the economy, how dare you bring into question the Stupidity and ineptness of the Thai Government

I don't know about these tours to neighboring Islands, but masks are not required when engaging in permitted sporting or athletic activities (on land or at sea), e.g., fishing and scuba diving ????

I think you'll find that Scuba Diving without a mask might prove difficult???

Even if you forget they're all vaccinated, every one of them has tested negative in the past few days.  And they'll be tested again in the next few days.  And whether they decide to stay in Phuket or fly out, they'll be tested again before their flight.

Except the crew, and they're all masked up.

One law for Phuket?  That's what the Sandbox is for.  To test a concept that may allow Thailand to open their economy and safely take millions of Thais out of economic despair.

I bet those tours are not the dry, no alcohol allowed tours.

Just saying

Geezer

so then permit dive tours, jungle trips, live music, private beach / pool parties..... maximum sandbox; why only sailing tours... ?

And many of them are not wearing a life vest and we all know how risky this can be on a Phuket boat !

For that whole reason is the sandbox program setup, to see if with increased security measurements a save travel bubble could be established.

And the measurements will only be increased if required to keep the sandbox program alive.

I'm happy with that as that gives many people a way back home during those circumstances.

If I ever get this wrenched COE and visa now day 21 the last thing on my mind is a boat tour already at stress mac 5????
