Ban Muang reported that the holiday islands of Koh Chang and Koh Kood are being hit badly by the area being placed in the strict red zone.

They said that tourism in the area was dire.

Suthat Thotsadara, an executive of the Koh Kood Express ferry service confirmed this saying that it was low season but what few tourists there were now had dried up almost completely because of the latest restrictions on travel.

He said that consideration was being made to stopping the service to the island completely for the next two months.

Meanwhile at the Koh Chang ferry at Klong Yai, Laem Ngop, there were very few tourists and only cars from the province of Trat or nearby provinces.

The ferry there was waiting to fill up with cars before departing resulting in longer wait times than usual despite the absence of people.

Have you tried just doubling the ticket price?

Trad's not in the strict red zone is it? What's happened is the governor has banned all visitors from the 13 dark red zones, so you've only got him to blame. I can't return despite having had 2 shots. And that's from Chonburi. Som nam na is all I can say.
