This man has balls of steel. Just out of prison after 2 years and still wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet for his march to late Prem's residence. He is taking the fight with the student activists to the corrupt military junta. Enough of the junta ridding roughshod over the democracy and the people with their endless coups. Passive resistance is futile against the military. Youth activists have vowed resistance if another coup be staged. The military has no place in Thailand's political system except fighting against external threats.

Guess they realise against an external force they would be creamed, so the only place to flex the muscle is against their own people, and that can be a dangerous ploy long term.

red shirt raises its ugly head again - they are just as bad as what is there now - wanting to enrich themselves

The Future  Forward Party looked promising but they were snuffed out for that reason

How does Nattawut wanting to get rid of Prayuth, equal "trying to enrich themselves". Perhaps it is me, but I can't see the connection anywhere.

Absolutely not.

Despots and cowards rarely do the honourable thing.

Quite reflective toward the historic test of time in Thai circles.

He made billions after having fairly little, and succeeded after several business failures, so I would consider that having a "head for business."

If you get agreements that give you a monopoly, yes it is very easy to be successful. Changing the communication laws while in office to destroy the competition by making them illegal shareholders is also easy. Bringing in Foreign airlines with your family holding the 51 % Thai shares to fight the national carrier is........... up to you find the best English word. Going from 3 billion to 36 billion in just a couple years is brilliant? Sending your wife on a special flight with big suitcases to Hongkong with an exchange rate of 25 to the dollar just a couple days before the devaluation is indeed brilliant. The list is even longer.

On charges brought by a previous coup government.

He is still lucky to get jail, in other countries they put them against the wall.

He got only jail time for a small crime, other crimes were not included in that trial.

They never convicted Al Capone for all the murders he ordered, they got him on tax fraud.

It sounds pretty brave but certain events that have happened in Thailand in the last couple of years will not allow it to happen as it has in the past.

Prayut did not only ruin the country but made someone who can not be mentioned look very bad both locally and internationally.

Anutin had a case filed against him and accepted on the day law was passed and now Prayut.

Neither one may have protection they once had.

saying that, do not expect free elections with real winners. But again someone chosen

You think HE and his lovely sister have the balls to do that? Don't think so.

They are smart enough not to, and I can't see any reason why they would want to. This current article about his possible return is just rubbish to fill up the news space.

You have to give him credit for holding on to absolute power for so long and quashing any opposition. Covid has given him a change to extend his executive powers. Did the CCP train him?
