New COVID-19 infections and deaths are expected to drop and the pandemic situation in Thailand brought under control in the next two weeks,...........

No chance.

The official numbers may show improvement over next couple of weeks which to me means nothing since the numbers do not reflect the true situation. Limited testing.

Thailand steps up home isolation as virus cases strain hospitals

BANGKOK, Aug 2 (Reuters) - Thailand will increase the number of people required to isolate at home with COVID-19 to 100,000, health officials said on Monday, as capacity in healthcare facilities dwindles amid a surge in cases driven by the Delta variant of the virus.

Just watching the Channel 32 news and they are showing a family of 6 who live in a one room house.  All 6 have covid because the grandfather who tested positive a while ago was told to isolate at home and thus infected the others.  How in hell will people who are sent home now after testing positive that live in the same circumstances isolate from the remainder of the family.  Looks like they do indeed want this to spread from family member to family member.  We may be seeing the newest homemade covid infection spread while trying to obtain herd immunity.  Ludacris.

Sounds like someone will be charged with defamation by telling the truth. This is getting tenuous for the PM and it looks to be hitting from all sides. If he would not let the grievances of the many impact his frail ego and create new rules to silence them, well then maybe he could admit his incompetence and beg for assistance because he is definitely out of his depth.

So you finally are agreeing to disagree on the views that we share, Thank you.  No stress in my life because of the discussions or the numbers, no frustration, just disbelief that people buy into the governments numbers as the truth much like the Deniers, and the antivaxxers for other news. My glass is more than half full, have no worries about dying, have a positive outlook, but am negative as far as anything coming from the Government as the truth, just like them saying they received 1.5 million doses of Pfizer from the US when in actuality it was 1,503,450 doses, and in another OP running now they have indicated how they have spread out the 1.5 million doses, however the numbers do not match the 1.5 million and there are still 1,550 doses unaccounted for as well.  So accountability and reality of the situation is what many of us do discuss here, believe what you may and to each there own as you say.  If your happy with beingtold fibs and accept them well then good on you.

I accept that I am powerless, as you and the rest of the posters are, and and cannot change anything irrespective of whether it’s fibs or not.

To not accept it means that it bothers you and it’s clear from these daily threads that it is does cause frustration, and stress to those who post about it daily.

You have always been one of the posters that always used to come across as a positive voice for Thailand in a number of threads but imo I struggle to see how you can have a positive outlook if things like you quote bother you so much.

We all know there will be doses missing, just as we all know why and there nothing that will change that however many times it gets mentioned.

Just my opinion

Here's some good news on the vaccine situation in the UK and how it has saved lives and infections, Thailand has a long way to go yet but saving lives is what its all about, not hiding the figures but dealing with the situation with transparency and honesty, thereby earning some trust from the people.
